Stage & Route Details: All amounts are approximate and routes may be altered due to weather.
DAY 1 Start at top of Stage 2. Ride 2.5miles to start of stage 1. Mostly Flat to Potato Hill vista on left.
Stage 1: Potato Hill. A Long 2.4 mile timed section ending at State Park. Everything from knar to fast flow on this run.
Transfer: Turn right out of state park on pavement. Continue 1 mile. Right turn onto byway. Continue on byway back to start of Stage 2. Approx. 6miles/ Climbing 1000ft. 30-60min
Stage 2: Deadman’s Gap, 1.5 miles of fast ripping trail.
Transfer: Stay on trail for .5 of a mile. Approximate 150ft climbing. 10-15minutes.
Shuttle: pick-up at bottom of stage 2. To winding stair campground for lunch and Stage 3&4.
Stage 3: Switchback! Tight, tough, turns. 26 of them over 600+ ft drop, but you climb to Start. 400ft climb (10-20min)
Transfer: .75 miles on same trail. (15-25minutes) 250 ft climbing.
Stage 4: Huge! Rough Mountain and 6023FR Combo: 4miles of speed. Top of trail has fun turns and couple rock gardens, then opens up into high speed. At half way, you come to dirt road, turn LEFT and continue racing all the way to bottom.
Transfer: cross the creek and pedal to HWY 259. Turn Right and head to RV park that will be on right at intersection. 1.5miles almost all downhill.
Day 1 Totals: 22 Miles of on bike riding. Estimated time pedaling 3-5Hours, Out there: 4-7hrs. Day Total Approximates: Elevation Drop: 3400ft. Elevation Gain: 1800ft

DAY 2 Start at Winding Stair Campground. 1mile roll out to start of first stage.
Stage 1: Billy Creek-EAST double wide. 1.2mile fast double track and lots of water bar jumps. Could even hit a double! At bottom take hard right uphill to begin transfer.
Transfer: 3.4miles. Short climb then a super fun 1mile downhill. Then a creek crossing and soon after a hard right hand turn up hill. 1.9 miles to the top. Will be a little hiking and some riding. Pay attention as you will be racing back down this for stage 3. At top cross the byway into horse thief springs parking lot. Stage 2 starts at other end of parking lot. This will also be Lunch spot after Stage 2.
Stage 2: Horse Thief East. Rocky KNAR. This run starts very rugged and get faster as it goes down, it’s always working you and your bike. Could be one on toughest stages. 1.7 miles.
Transfer: 3miles. At bottom you come to gravel road. Turn right and stay right for .75 of mile. Then hard right at intersection and continue to climb another 1 mile up gravel road. You come to BYWAY and turn right. Go 1.5 miles back to Horse thief springs. LUNCH
Stage 3: Billy Creek West. 1.9 miles 750+ of drop. As fast as you want it! This will have some of the highest speeds of the week. Pine tree tunnel and more!
Transfer: 7miles. You will continue down the creek 2 miles to Billy creek picnic area. You will then take a hard left onto 6020A gravel road. Go 2 miles, then turn right on K29. Crossing Billy creek Low Water Bridge. Then keep to right (do not go up to circle turn around) continue on this for .75 mile up a steep climb. At top turn left at continue 2 miles on FR6023 to top of run 4.
Stage 4: RED SPRING LOWER 2. 2miles with fast side hill. Testing nerve and skill. Has a 100ft scree field of rock that will require dismount. Continue racing! Has a few other tricky spots. You will hit one short wall (50ft) and then a fast flowing rip to the finish.
Transfer: Continue down the trail, cross the creek to big cedar trail head. Turn right on 259 and ride 1 mile back to Big Cedar RV. On right at intersection.
DAY 2 Totals: 22 miles of on bike riding. Estimated time pedaling 3-5Hours, Out there: 4-6hrs. Day Total Approximates: Elevation Drop: 3300ft. Elevation Gain: 2300ft
Pre-ride: 14miles, 4100ft drop, 1100ft gain.
2 day total: 44 miles, 6700ft drop, 4100ft gain.
3 day total w/ pre-ride: 10,800ft drop. 5200ft gain.
